We have been square dancing for four years and have loved every minute of it.  We are both retired science teachers  from San Antonio,  and we were lucky enough to be able to teach at the same school in the same department for most of our careers.  We have two beautiful daughters that are both teachers.  One of our daughters and son-in-law have  joined us in square dancing, so it has become a family affair.  Since we have become square dancers we have made many wonderful new friends from Texas and many other states.

Vice Presidents - Marvin & Delores Junker

Marvin and Delores have been square dancing for over 40 years.  They began dancing in Oklahoma City and have danced in several foreign countries, including Indonesia, Singapore,Scotland and Dubai.  They started a square dance club in Dubai. The Dubai club hosted a successful International Jamboree. Dancers and callers from Saudi Arabia and Iran as well as Dubai Club members from many other countries attended the Jamboree. Marvin and Delores danced and lived in the Rio Grande Valley for over 20 years but enjoy all the dance activites in this area.

Secretarys - Joe & Debbie D'Elosua

Joe and Debbie have been square dancing for 2 years.  They officially moved to central Texas from El Paso in 2005 after commuting back and forth for 3 years waiting for their son, Kris, to graduate high school.

Both Joe and Debbie are retired, Joe from Goodyear Tire & Rubber and Debbie from teaching in the elementary grades.

They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren which they are trying to convince to join square dancing.  “We now tell them that visits and trips have to be planned around dancing,” quotes Joe.

Treasurers - Les & Pat Fenter

I have been square dancing for 3 years.  I love it although it is sure pushing this "old" body with all its aches and pains.  I have enjoyed constantly learning new moves.

I have been married for 43 years and wouldn't trade one of them for anything else.

My jobs before retirement (has that come yet?) have been mostly for fun and I enjoyed each of them for different reasons.  I was a Wife and Mother first and last.  We have 2 children (boy and girl) and 4 grandchildren (2 girls and 2 boys).  We also had 58 foster babies over 13 years.  I have worked in the telephone company as a long distance operator, at Tx. A&M as clerk in the Purchasing Dept., drove a school bus in Houston, and was a teller in a bank in Marble Falls (a job I would have done for free -I loved it).  Now I am busier than ever and I am supposed to be retired.

I love to travel in our trailer all over the US and Canada, to hike, read, dance and just relax.
